This non-vintage wine, carefully selected and blended from Heidsieck’s cru(60%) and reserve(40%) wines, was laid down in their mythic two thousand year old Gallo-Roman chalk cellars in 2000. It is here that the wine was cloaked in the best conditions for maturation, allowing it to attain the aromatic complexity that now enchants your palate. The blend - 34%Pinot Noir, 33% Chardonnay, 33%Pinot Meunier -dislpayins a pale golden hue, with a medium-sized bead. A lovely nose, full of citrus-orange peel character, with suggestions of dry praline and discreet notes of ginger and coriander. Gorgeously expressive. Fresh and precise on the palate, showing a sleek elegance and crispness, at the same time being full and creamy. Fine length.
